Where does the name IrieVeda come from?
IrieVeda is a cultural blend of flavor, history, health and inclusivity. On the beautiful island of Jamaica, Irie is a term that is used frequently to describe how someone is feeling. Irie is a feeling of positivity and no worries. In India, Veda means “knowledge” and also stems from Ayurveda, the ancient holistic approach to physical and mental health in which spices are seen as essential for health. So in essence, IrieVeda is rooted in “Positive Knowledge”. We believe this name encompasses all that IrieVeda stands for. Our spice blends aim to ensure a feeling of positivity/no worry and provide you with the knowledge that you need to live a healthy life.

We also do our best to stay authentic to the sourcing of certain spices. Take notice of this on our product pages as we highlight those spice offerings.
What does it mean to be top 12 allergen free?
We take our commitment to being allergen free very serious, as we know first hand how severe the impact can be.
When sourcing our products we ensure our supplier does not process any of the top 12 items in their facility. Our manufacturing facility located in West Chester, PA is also an allergen free facility.
The top 12 allergens consist of milk, eggs, wheat(gluten), peanuts, tree nuts, soy, seafood, corn, sesame, mustard, celery and preservative/artificial flavors (colors).
How are your products produced?
Our products are curated with your health and wellbeing in mind.
All our products are produced in small batches and meticulously handcrafted for your ultimate enjoyment. We incorporate traditional means of blending spices such as small batch roasting spices prior to blending. This ensures that you will enjoy the full flavor profile of each spice.
Does your product contain salt or sugar?
IrieVeda is a spice company, therefore we provide blends that are salt free and sugar free. This ensures quality and versatility in how our blends can be used. We have also taken into consideration the various dietary needs and taste profiles of everyone.
Does your product contain onions or garlic?
In Ayurveda, onions and garlic are recognized as having potent medicinal uses and therefore should not be used excessively. Similarly, those suffering with Irritable Bowel Syndrome(IBS) or those on the FODMOP diet should not consume onions or garlic, as they can create acid reflux, heartburn or intestinal inflammation. Therefore, IrieVeda provides blends that strictly contain organic spices and herbs.
Where are the products made?
All of our products are made and distributed from our allergen free facility in West Chester, PA. Our facility is also registered with the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture.
